BOARDING PASS

La última campaña de Mango protagonizada por Isabeli Fontana y realizada por el fotógrafo Terry Richardson está inspirada en la vicisitudes de los AEROPUERTOS!!!. Ya sabéis que yo los frecuento bastante y os he hablado en un post anterior de un look para sobrevivir en el aeropuerto (ver aquí) y por eso quería presentaros estos looks de Mango que me parecen muy inspiradores.

The last campaign of Mango starred by Isabeli Fontana and made by the photographer Terry Richardson is inspired in the vicissitudes of the airports. You know that I use them a lot and in a previous post I have presented a suitable airport look (click here ). It is the reason because I would like to present you these inspiring looks of Mango.

 

Prendas básicas, muy versátiles y combinadas con gracia. La única pega, los zapatos no son los más apropiados para correr por los pasillos rodantes.

ETHIC AND AESTHETIC: THE DIOGENES SYNDROME OF DAVID DELFIN

David Delfín no ha dejado indiferente a nadie con su colección Otoño/ Invierno 2011/12 presentada ayer en Cibeles. Una puesta en escena con un montón de ropa usada que daba nombre a la colección: Síndrome de Diógeneses y que representaba una apología en contra del despilfarro de la industria de la moda.

David Delfín has not let anyone down with his F/W 2011/12 collection presented yesterday in Cibeles Fashion Week. A performance with a pile of used clothes that inspired the collection name: Diogenes Syndrome and that represented an apology against the waste of the fashion industry.

Siguiendo esta filosofía ha simplicado las prendas con un nuevo concepto de 3X1, es decir, ha presentado unas prendas que hacen el efecto de camisa, jersey y americana pero que en realidad son sólo 1. Para ello ha demostrado dominar la técnica y tener un bagaje en el diseño gráfico y un gusto por la arquitectura pura.

Following this philosophy, he has simplified the garments with a new concept 3X1, i.e., he has presented a garment that seems to be a shirt, a pullover and a jacket, but that is only one piece. To do this, it is proven that he masters the technique and that he has experience in graphic design and a taste in pure architecture.

En la primera parte del desfile ha presentado looks de oficina en los que predonima los tonos grises y piedra.

In the first part of the show, he presented office looks with a predominance of grey and stone colors.

Ha cerrado el desfile con unos looks de noche en colores joya : verde esmeralda y azul zafiro.

He closed the show with night looks in jewelry colors: emerald green and blue sapphire.

Puedo decir que Dolores Promesas es mi marca favorita, no sólo por la historia de desamor, amistad y autoestima que le rodea (la podeis leer en su web), sino porque su ropa me encanta y estadísticamente ocupa la mayor parte de mi armario. Tiene un estilo muy especial, femenino, elegante y divertido a la vez y puedes encontrar ropa para todas las ocasiones.

I can confirm that Dolores Promesas is my favourite brand, not only for the story of  love, friendship and self-esteem that is behind, but also because I loves its garnments and statistically they take up most of my wardrobe. They have an special style femenim, elegant and funny at the same time and you can find clothes for all occasions.

Al ver sus colecciones, suelo tener un problema, no sabría con que quedarme, me gusta todo! Y creo que a partir de ahora va a ser más dificil contenerse porque han abierto una tienda en Oviedo.

When I see the collections, I usually have a problem, I like everything! And from now on, it´s going to be more difficult to hold oneself back because they have opened a shop in Oviedo.

SLOW FASHION

Normalmente en mi trabajo no tengo la oportunidad de encontrarme con glamour salvo en una ocasión en la que se presentó un proyecto de moda como un proyecto innovador dentro de un foro empresarial en Estonia.

Unfortunately, I don´t find too much glamour in my work except from one ocassion where an innovative fashion project was presented in a bussiness meeting in Estonia.

Se trata de una diseñadora que se llama Reet Aus y que se reconoce abanderada del fenómeno slow fashion ya que sus diseños empiezan donde la producción en masa termina. Utiliza ropa usada, tejidos deshechados y materiales inservibles por tener algún defecto y los transforma en lujo.

It is a fashion designer, Reet Aus, that embodies the slow fashion and that her designs start from where the mass production finishes. She uses used clothes, wastes of fabrics and all kind of materials that can not be more use and she turns them into luxury.
 

Es una revolución, ya que cambia el ciclo industrial al utilizar como materias primas los residuos. En el caso de que necesite materiales nuevos sólo los utiliza orgánicos. El reto es mantener todo el proceso de creación abierto y transparente y también se asegura que todo se haga localmente.

It is a revolution because she changes the industrial cycle as she uses wastes as raws materials. In case of using new materials, she chooses only sustainable organic garments. The challenge is to keep all of the processes open and transparent – from the beginning to the new beginning. Till renew design and everything is done locally.

Domina con maestría la técnica del patchwork (esta chaqueta está hecha con trozos de jeans usados) y sus lookbooks tienen una fotografía preciosa con gran carga artística.

She masters the patchwork tecniques (for example this jacket is made from pieces of used jeans) and the photography of her lookbooks is very artistic.

Otro ejemplo de que el reciclaje y la sostenibilidad no están reñidos con el glamour.

David Delfín ha bautizado su colección como "Tautology" que significa utilizar distintas palabras para expresar el mismo concepto y ciertamente queda reflejado que con diferentes cortes y prendas siempre es fiel a su estilo. Es una colección futurísta, aritmética con la que juega a encajar piezas para crear superposiciones nada cargadas. Me encanta el azul que predomina en su colección y que se inspira en el famoso azul del pintor Yves Klein.

David Delfín has named his collection as Tautology and using different patterns and pieces of clothing is always faithful to his style. It is a futuristic and arithmetic collection that plays to fit pieces to create light superpositions. I love the blue inspired in the painter Yves Klein.

Adolfo Domínguez vuelve a los 70 en esta colección con prendas que deconstruyen los patrones y se inspiran en la líneas y la arquitectura del gran Gaudí.

Adolfo Domínguez returns to the 70s in this collection with pieces of clothing that break the patterns inspired in the Gaudi´s architecture.

 
Predominan los tonos agua: azules, verdosos, lavandas, etc... y naturales: blancos, grises, camel,etc...

The most used are water colours: blues, greens, lavandas, etc... and natural colours: white, grey, beige, etc..

Destacan los escotes asimétricos y cortes geométricos en tops y vestidos y las líneas amplias y cómodas en las prendas de chico fiel a su estilo. Otra marca de la casa es la utilización de tejidos que aparentan brutos, sin demasiados tratamientos.

To pinpoint, asymmetric necklines, geometric cuts in tops and dresses and wide and comfortable lines in the men collections faithful to his style. Another brand characteristic is using fabrics that seem rough without treatments.

Aprovechando que ya se han inaugurado las pasarelas internacionales, voy a mostraros unos looks ponibles utilizando las tendencias que marcan los grandes diseñadores. Se trata de bajar de la pasarela a la calle, sin correr el riesgo de parecer que vamos disfrazados.

Once the international catwalks have started, I am going to show you easy looks using the trends of the designers. The purpose is getting off from the catwalks to the street without the risk of being dressed up.

Voy a empezar con Donna Karan que nos presenta para la próxima temporada primavera-verano 2011; unos looks super fáciles de imitar con prendas que podemos sacar directamente de nuestro fondo de armario. Son perfectos para trabajar y para viajes ya que se combinan muy fácil entre sí porque giran en torno a un paleta cromática muy reducida: camel, rojo, negro y blanco que tan solo rompe con un azul precioso en las prendas de coktail:

I am going to start with Donna Karan that has presented very easy to imitate looks with piece of clothing that you can get directly from your wardrobe staples. They are perfect for working and for travelling as they are easy to combine among them. They have a simple color palette: beige, red, black and white only broken by very nice blue in the cocktail pieces of clothing:

Os voy a presentar otra de mis marcas de cabecera cuya creadora y diseñadora es una chica de Villaviciosa, Asturias. Tiene un estilo muy personal, con prendas llenas de feminidad y fantasía y con un estilo inocente que no deja indiferente a nadie. Además sus tiradas son limitadas por lo que ofrece exclusividad a precios razonables. Yo tengo varias prendas de sus colecciones anteriores y son muy ponibles y "resultonas" en ocasiones formales e incluso para diario o ir a trabajar. Otra cosa que me gusta mucho es que sus prendas son artesanales, hechas en España y respetan el medio ambiente. También tiene una colección para niñas con un toque muy especial. Mis favoritos para la próxima temporada:

Another of my favourites brand is one whose designer from Villaviciosa, Asturias. She has a very personal style, with apperal full of feminity and fantasy and with an innocent style that surprises everyone. She offers exclusivity at reasonable prices because her collections are limited. I have several pieces of clothing of the previous collections and they work in different occasions. Her clothes are made in Spain and respectful with the environment. She has also a collection for little girls. My favourites for the next season:

LOOKS EN PAREJA: HUGO BOSS OTOÑO/ INVIERNO 2010-11

COUPLE LOOKS: HUGO BOSS F/W 2010-11

En este post quiero hablaros del grupo HUGO BOSS, del que en España practicamente solo se conoce la colección masculina, sobre todo sus trajes y abrigos ya que no está muy extendido, pero que tiene varias líneas cuyo denominador común es la calidad y la elegancia.

In this post, I would like to talk about HUGO BOSS holding because in Spain is almost only known  for its male suits and coats, but it has several lines with the quality and elegance as common point.

Y al mismo tiempo voy a utilizar sus colecciones de mujer para mostraros "looks en pareja"; en mi opinión una "pareja fashion" debe mantener el mismo estilo y código de vestimenta, pero nunca ir del mismo color o compartir estampados a no ser que vayan a patinar sobre hielo. A mí me gusta compartir marca de ropa, ya que es una señal de que compartimos estilos de vida. Massimo Dutti, Purificación García y Adolfo Domínguez también te permiten este juego pero me voy a centrar en HUGO BOSS que además sé a que mis amigos alemanes les va a gustar (espero visitaros pronto!!!).

At the same time, I am going to use the female collections to show you different "couple looks"; from my point of view, a fahsion couple should keep the same style and dress code, but never use the same color or pattern unless you are going to ice-skating. I love share the same brands because it is a sign of similar life styles. Massimo Dutti, Purifiación García and adolfo Domínguez allow you to play this game but I am going to focus in HUGO BOSS (my german friends will love it, I miss you!!!)
